Milena Zu Rigel earrings

Edgy and elegant Milena Zu Rigel earrings.

These Riegel drop earrings are very elegant in their contemporary style and muted colours. The earrings have a cylinder shape crocheted in fine brass wire and silver plated. It has been oxidised to a dark, warm charcoal colour with the bottom half a beautiful bluish/purplish tinge. Above the cylinder shape are 4 discs on a sterling silver chain all oxidised to a warm grey tone.

Milena Zu is famous for her mesh jewellery. She grew up in Italy in an artistic family and during her travels came through Ubud where she came across the local artisans who mastered an ancient technique of crocheting with metal wires. Their skills had been passed down through generations and Milena now works with the artisans who crochet her modern designs to her exact mathematical instructions.

These Milena Zu Riegel earrings hangs at 11cm and the cylinder at the bottom is 12mm wide.
