A pair of small Australian hoops with Desert colour charms in the warm orange colours of the Australian landscape.
These sterling silver hoops have a little square charm threaded on them. The charm is aluminium which has been photo anodised with part of Mary Anne’s painting.
The artist is Mary Anne Nampijinpa Michaels and her painting is inspired by a rock hole in Western Australia and the dreamtime story of a rainbow serpent which rose from the waterhole and ate everyone gathered around.
Mary Anne is part of the Warlukurlangu artists group and the licence has been obtained to use Mary Anne’s paintings to showcase her art on contemporary jewellery.
The silver hoops are 18mm and the squares 11mm.
